OUR STORIES

BEVERLY EARLY FACTS

Interestingly our streets and Avenues were often named for people who contributed greatly to Beverly. Check out the list of Mayors who served this community from 1913 to 1961.

COMMUNITY BUILDERS

This begins the stories of Beverly’s pioneers, the families and individuals who came to Beverly for a better life and worked to achieve it. The pioneer section is a work in progress. As new information and photos come to light, stories will be added or expanded. Do you have a family history in Beverly? Is there more or better information than what is published here? Please let us know.

BUSINESSES

The earliest businesses in Beverly were the mining and farming businesses. When more people came to live and work in Beverly, they required basic goods and services in their community. As the area changed, so did the requirements and the businesses that accommodated those needs.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

Churches, schools, leagues and clubs are the foundations of a community. They provide stable, dependable, organized services and create meeting places for strong community connections.

PUBLICATIONS

In addition to the stories published on this website, Beverly history is also available in book form and in online digital displays.

BEVERLY HISTORY INTERPRETIVE CENTRE TOURS AND MURALS
